My name keeps my personal life private and has been my day-to-day name for 10 years.  I complied with Facebook to give them other forms of ID that they said they would accept. I gave one photo with my state ID and an event staff badge with my nick name and my legal name to tie it together, and another badge with my nickname. In my letter I wrote I’m a real person, here is proof, but I do not consent to posting my legal name. They took my state ID legal name and ignored my letter and posted it publicly to Facebook. This put me at risk from ex-abusers. I’ve never felt so violated my name is a huge secret that they let out.
